Information we process
- Account and profile: email address, authentication identifiers, optional display name, and account settings.
- Prayer content and activity: public or group prayer requests, synced private Journal entries, prayer events, request status, reports, blocks, and group membership or administration.
- Purchases: store product and Patron entitlement status. PrayerTurns does not receive full payment-card details.
- Notifications: device push token and notification preferences when remote notifications are enabled.
- Technical information: limited operational records needed to keep the service secure, diagnose failures, enforce invitation limits, and prevent abuse.
How visibility works
Public community requests
Active public requests may be shown to eligible PrayerTurns users. If you choose anonymous display, the request is shown without your profile name, but the service still associates it with your account for security, moderation, and deletion.
Private groups
Current group members can see that group's requests and activity. Group admins manage invitations and membership. Leaving or removal ends access, although a person may retain information they previously viewed or captured outside PrayerTurns.
Journal and guided prayer
Signed-in synced Journal entries and guided-prayer completions are available only to their owner. Signed-out Journal entries and guided-prayer history stay on that device. PrayerTurns does not place Journal or guided-prayer content into public or group totals.
Focus Mode
Selected-app choices and Screen Time activity used by Focus Mode are intended to remain on the device. PrayerTurns does not use them for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Why we process information
We process information to provide authentication, prayer and group features, Journal sync, purchases, notifications, safety tools, support, fraud prevention, and service reliability; to enforce the Terms; and to meet legal obligations. PrayerTurns does not sell personal data, run third-party advertising, or use personal data for cross-app tracking.
Service providers
PrayerTurns uses service providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication and hosted data, Apple and Google for platform authentication or purchases where used, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement processing, Expo and platform push services for notifications, and hosting or email providers for the public website and support. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Deleted or expired content is removed or retained only as required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup rotation, or unresolved disputes. PrayerTurns does not fabricate dates for older activity that lacks reliable historical metadata.
You can delete the account in Settings or use the outside-app deletion route. Account deletion removes associated server data covered by the deletion process. Local-only data may remain on a device until the app data is removed. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
Safety, reports, and legal requests
Reports and blocks are used to review alleged misuse, keep reported content out of a reporter's feed, and protect the service. We may preserve and disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or respond to a valid legal request.
Security and international processing
We use access controls, encrypted transport, and owner- or membership-based database rules intended to limit access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
Your choices
You can choose request visibility, anonymous display, notification permissions, group participation, and whether to sign in for sync. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection through Support. We verify account control before responding to account-specific requests.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice in the app. Contact the privacy route on Support. Do not include prayer text, invitation links, passwords, or authentication codes in a support request.
